Order & Shipping Info FAQ

All orders require 24-48 hours for processing. Please keep in mind; orders are not shipped on the weekends. Special orders have additional production and/or delivery time. Ideal Fashions does not guarantee same day shipping.

- Approximate shipping time via UPS (in stock items):

Ground: 1-6 business days plus processing time,
2nd day Air: 2 business days plus processing time,
Next Day Air: 1 business day plus processing time,
International: 3 days-2 weeks.

Upgrades in shipping are always available if you are on a tight schedule or if you just want your item(s) sooner! Keep in mind that shipping upgrades only affect the actual shipping time from the manufacturer to our store, from our store to you, or both, but NOT the production time.

How are orders shipped?

All orders being shipped within the continental U.S. is shipped via UPS, unless the package is being sent to an APO/FPO address, then we ship via USPS.

FREE ground shipping via UPS Ground is offered within continental U.S when you spend $300 or more. International orders are shipped via UPS for a charge of $120.00 (most countries); Standard ground shipping to Canada is $17.99.

Do You Ship Internationally?

YES, Ideal Fashions does ship worldwide! There is a $ 190.00 international shipping charge, which covers getting your package to your country. Ideal Fashions does not charge any customs when sending your package to you. Any customs fees, taxes, tariffs, duties, etc. that may be incurred at the time of delivery would be at the discretion of your country's tax regulations. We have no way of calculating how much these fees would be, should they occur, and Ideal Fashions is not responsible for those charges. You are not paying those charges to Ideal Fashions; you are paying them to your country's customs agency. For any additional information refer to your local customs agency. Returns will not be accepted due to customs fees. It is illegal for us to mark a package as a "gift."

How can I place an International Order?

Placing international orders can be complicated and we want to make sure we get it right for you! Simply call us at 1-800-753-4544 or e-mail us at info@idealclothing.net and let us know you would like to place an international order, and we will be happy to help you through the process.

When calling or e-mailing please include or have ready, the dress style number, size, color and event date. We will never charge your credit card unless we can fill your order by your wear date! Also have your credit card handy so that we can complete the order for you if the dress you want is available.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping time simply means the time it will take a package to reach you after it leaves our store. It does not mean the exact time it will take to get a dress. Processing, production, and receiving time are also a factor and are different for each order. Our shipping department ships orders as fast as possible. Many in stock items are shipped the same business day, although we cannot guarantee this. However, special orders vary greatly due to availability.

If I order a dress, how long will it take to get to me?

This question can be very complicated, let’s break it down step by step- How long a dress takes to get to you depends on several important factors:

-If the dress is in-stock in our store, if the item is in-stock with the manufacturer, or if it is available for order with the manufacturer.

-Shipping is also a factor which is determined by the shipping time to you. Most of our designs require that the dress be shipped to us first, then to you. Some designers offer what is called drop shipping for an additional charge, which is when a design ships the dress right from their warehouse to you.

Simple Explanation- In-stock dresses take about 1-8 business days to get to you. Dresses that are not in-stock in our store, but are in-stock with the manufacturer can take anywhere from 3-12 business days to get to you. Dresses that are not in-stock at our store OR at the manufacturer and are specially made for you can take anywhere from a few days to several months, depending on the production time.

Detailed Explanation-

1. If we have the dress in-stock in our store: This means we have the dress you want, in your size and color, hanging in our store! We will ship it to you within 24-48 hours.
2.If it is in-stock with the designer (Special Order): If we don’t have the dress in-stock in our store we will immediately check with the designer to see if your dress can be special ordered. If the designer has the dress in your size and color hanging on their racks they will ship it out to us within 1-6 days. After we receive the dress in our store we ship it out to you the same day! Drop shipping is available with some manufacturers, which means the dress can ship directly to you (this may require an additional fee).
3.If it is NOT in-stock in our store OR with the designer (Special order): If the dress you want is sold out, both in our store and with the designer, we will ask the manufacturer for the next available ship date for a special order. They will inform us of a date when the dress you want, will be available to ship, (this can take anywhere from a couple days to a couple weeks). As soon as they make/receive the dress, they will ship it to our store within the quoted time. After we receive it in our store we ship it out to you the same day!
*The above answers are generally for prom dresses, but can also apply to other dresses, shoes and accessories. Here are some more important guidelines for those items that are almost ALWAYS especially made-to-order for you:

Bridesmaid dresses & Quinceañera dresses: Can take anywhere from 8-12 weeks for delivery. Rush delivery/production from the designer is sometimes available for an additional charge. The 8-12 weeks does not apply to every dress, occasionally the style, size and color you need is in stock at our store or with the manufacturer and can reach you in as little as a week or two.

How can I track my package?

You can track your packages by phone or online. You will be provided with a tracking number via email when your order has shipped.
